I find it interesting that this book is so unavailable. I searched American, British and Australian websites and could not find it new or cheap. Yet, Luke Davies appears to be one of Australia's most beloved authors with plenty of awards and nominations. In that category, 'Totem' itself is listed three times. Besides being a poet, Davies is also a novelist and screenwriter. He is perhaps best known for his 1997 novel, 'Candy' (not to be confused with the work of the same name by Terry Southern) written in 1997 and the screenplay of the book he co-wrote in 2006.
