I saw one review of this book that said, "this volume is typical of the Soviet government re-writing history to fit its agenda. Klibanov was the successor to Vladimir Bonch-Bluevich, the Minister of Religious Propaganda under Vladimin Lenin and later Joseph Stalin. He collected information about the various Christian sectarian groups still surviving in Soviet Russia and re-wrote their history to conform to the Soviet ideology of the 1950's", But I would guess the book is still enlightening about the subject. I have not read it and cannot vouch for its validity.
