Hutchinson's Pictorial History of the War A Complete and Authentic Record in Text and Pictures. Complete set in 26 volumes. September 3rd, 1939 through September 4th, 1945. Hutchinson & Co. Edited by Walter Hutchinson. Moderate wear to most volumes. Mostly bright gilt lettering and decoration to the spines (except one of the volumes has a faded spine as photographed). The first five volumes have gift inscriptions dated in 1943. No other previous owner markings. Generally no tears, folds or creases to pages. I found one page tear in volume one. None in the rest. I did not examine each book thoroughly, although I did do a quick look through each volume, so I may have missed. The only tear in bindings I found were in the first volume. Bindings are tight with no looseness to pages. Not ex-library, not remaindered and not a facsimile reprint. For sale by Jon Wobber, bookseller since 1978. SET EK28a
This work is an extensive contemporary history of the Second World War. It is a heavily illustrated account of the war, discussing the wins and losses in battle, as well as discussing the invasions of countries, and the global involvement. (I stole thid description from another seller.) This set will probably be shipped in two boxes.
