Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Charles Scribner's Sons. 1925. About 5 1/2" x 7 3/4" 218 page Hardcover with no dust jacket. First printing with publisher's errors: "chatter" on page 60, line 16; "northern" on page 119, line 22; "it's" on page 165, line 16; "away" on page 165, line 29; "sick in tired" on page 205, lines9-10; and "Union Street station" on page 211, lines 7-8. Gilt lettering on spine is quite faded, barely legible. Moderate cover edge wear. Light bumping to cover tips. Light foxing on the leading edge ofpage block. Missing the front flyleaf. I see one interesting feature in that there is a shadow from the last page to the rear flyleaf. There is a tear next to the binding on the bottom of page 218. Otherwise, no previous owner markings. No folds or creases to pages. Binding is tight with no looseness to pages in spite of the fact that you can see slight separation in the sewn binding. Not ex-library, not remaindered and not a facsimile reprint. For sale by Jon Wobber, bookseller since 1978. IC19a
